Vonda got a fun mention in a Dan Hill interview. She’d never heard this story: “When I began touring we needed someone who could replace the role of Vonda Shepard on the song ‘Can’t We Try’,” said Dan Hill. “We were auditioning singers and in walked a very nervous 18-year-old Celine Dion, hoping she could sing the part well enough.”
Vonda’s playing a Jobs Not Wars rally/concert this weekend in Los Angeles. Matt Keating, Lili Haydn, Tom Freund, Tim Robbins, Mimi Kennedy, and others are on the bill supporting Marcy Winograd. (more…)
